Product Introduction

The modular air-cooled scroll chiller divides plant capacity among compact factory-built modules connected to common chilled-water headers and a coordinating controller. Each module contains scroll compressors, a liquid heat exchanger, condenser coil and fans. Additional modules increase capacity without replacing the original plant, while multiple compressors provide small operating steps. Isolation valves and independent circuits allow one module to be serviced while the remaining modules continue supplying partial cooling.

Key Features

Parallel modules allow cooling capacity to expand in planned increments as production demand increases.

Multiple scroll compressors provide small capacity steps and useful low-load turndown.

Independent refrigerant circuits confine a service event to one module rather than the complete plant.

A common controller rotates lead duty and stages modules against leaving-water temperature.

Customer Product Concerns

A growing facility needs enough initial cooling without buying an oversized single chiller that will cycle inefficiently for years.

Initial cleanroom load is small but future production phases require more capacity.Additional matched modules connect to the common headers and controller as demand grows.
One chiller failure removes all process cooling.Independent modules continue operating at the remaining available capacity.
Unequal water flow causes some modules to trip while others carry little load.Reverse-return headers, balancing valves and coordinated pump control distribute flow.
Modules accumulate unequal compressor hours.Lead-lag rotation balances starts and run time across the staged plant.
