Heat Recovery Air Handling Unit
- Separated Supply and Exhaust
- Selectable Recovery Technology
- Bypass and Frost Control
- Reduced Outdoor-Air Load
Product Introduction
The heat recovery air handling unit brings outdoor supply and building exhaust through a common insulated casing while maintaining defined separation between air streams. Counterflow plate exchangers offer no moving transfer surface, rotary wheels provide high sensible and latent recovery where appropriate, and run-around coils completely separate the ducts. Bypass dampers, frost control and independent fans keep airflow stable through changing outdoor conditions. The recovery method is chosen according to contamination-transfer tolerance, humidity objectives and physical duct arrangement.
Key Features
Independent supply and exhaust fans maintain balanced airflow through different filter-loading conditions.
Bypass and frost-control sequences protect the exchanger during extreme ambient operation.
Accessible recovery cassettes and drain sections simplify inspection and cleaning.
Customer Product Concerns
Energy recovery is valuable only when cross-stream leakage, frost, condensate and fan balance are controlled for the actual exhaust source.
