Product Introduction

Corrugated stainless plates are compressed between a fixed frame and a movable pressure plate to create alternating hot and cold channels. Elastomer gaskets direct each fluid through its assigned channels without mixing. Turbulent counter-current flow supports close temperature approach in a much smaller footprint than many shell-and-tube arrangements, while loosening the tie bolts opens the pack for inspection or capacity changes.

Key Features

Chevron plate patterns promote turbulent flow and high heat-transfer coefficients at moderate velocity.

Alternating gasketed channels keep building water separate from clean process, glycol or heat-recovery circuits.

The plate pack can be opened for mechanical cleaning and individual plate or gasket replacement.

Additional compatible plates increase surface area without replacing the main frame.

Customer Product Concerns

A hydronic interface must transfer the design load with low approach temperature while keeping unlike water circuits isolated.

A shell-and-tube exchanger consumes excessive plantroom space.Thin corrugated plates concentrate a large transfer area inside a narrow frame.
One dirty circuit contaminates a clean secondary water loop.Independent gasketed channels maintain physical separation between the two fluids.
Future load expansion makes a fixed exchanger undersized. The frame can accept additional plates within its tightening-bolt capacity.
Deposits reduce performance but the transfer surface is inaccessible.Releasing the tie bolts exposes both sides of every removable plate for cleaning.
