Product Introduction

The Type A2 cabinet draws room air inward at the front grille while HEPA-filtered downflow protects the work zone. A portion of the filtered air is recirculated and the balance is exhausted through a HEPA stage, either into the room or through an appropriate canopy connection. Contaminated plenums are maintained under negative pressure or surrounded by negative-pressure sections. The cabinet is selected and installed for biological particulate work; volatile chemical use requires a separately evaluated exhaust strategy.

Key Features

The front inflow grille captures room air before it crosses the work surface.

Vertical filtered downflow limits cross-contamination across the product zone.

Negative-pressure plenum design provides a fail-safe boundary around contaminated air paths.

A motorized or counterbalanced sash maintains the selected operating height.

Independent inflow and downflow sensing supports real-time airflow monitoring.

Customer Product Concerns

A Type A2 cabinet must balance operator capture and clean product downflow while keeping recirculated air paths safely enclosed.

Hands crossing the front grille disrupt containment.A properly sized grille and stable inflow maintain capture around normal arm movement.
Items block downflow and create cross-contamination zones.A wide supply diffuser and organized work layout preserve first-air paths.
Filter loading shifts the inflow/downflow balance.Separate airflow sensors and automatic blower control maintain the selected operating range.
The cabinet is used with unsuitable volatile chemicals.Application guidance distinguishes A2 biological particulate work from total-exhaust chemical handling.
