Product Introduction

The foot-operated cleanroom door switch places a recessed activation tunnel at the lower wall or door jamb. A user inserts a shoe toe into the protected zone, where an optical or low-force sensor operates a relay without an exposed floor pedal. The brushed stainless faceplate, sealed rear electronics box and clear status LED support frequent cleaning while keeping the activation point away from trolley impact paths.

Key Features

The recessed toe zone enables activation while both hands carry materials or remain gloved.

A flush stainless faceplate avoids the projecting hinge and spring of a conventional floor pedal.

The protected optical cavity limits accidental triggering from nearby foot traffic.

A sealed rear module and removable terminal block simplify service from the wall cavity.

Customer Product Concerns

A foot control must be accessible during material handling without becoming a projecting obstruction or a hard-to-clean floor fixture.

Operators carrying trays cannot reach a wall plate without shifting the load. The recessed toe switch provides a deliberate foot-operated request at the jamb.
Floor pedals trap residue around hinges and are vulnerable to trolley wheels. The mechanism mounts flush in the wall with no hardware on the walking surface.
A broad motion sensor opens the door for every person walking past. The protected recess requires a close, intentional toe insertion.

Typical Applications

Material-handling cleanroom doorsGowning-room exitsClinical sterile corridorsFood-processing hygiene entrances
