Dedicated Outdoor Air System
- Independent Latent Control
- Measured Ventilation Air
- Energy-Recovery Ready
- Stable Dry Supply Air
Product Introduction
A dedicated outdoor air system separates ventilation and latent treatment from the high recirculation airflow used for cleanroom particle control. It receives 100% outdoor air, recovers useful energy from a separated exhaust stream where appropriate, cools and dries the air, then reheats it to a neutral or designed supply condition. This division lets terminal recirculation units handle sensible load and filtration without relying on them to remove the full outdoor-air moisture load. Airflow, dew point and supply temperature can be monitored independently.
Key Features
Deep dehumidification establishes a predictable supply dew point across seasonal outdoor conditions.
Plate, run-around or carefully selected rotary recovery can reduce outdoor-air heating and cooling load.
Reheat prevents overcooled ventilation air from causing local discomfort or excess sensible cooling.
Customer Product Concerns
When ventilation air and recirculation air are treated together, moisture control can drift as outdoor conditions and room sensible loads change independently.
Typical Applications
Technical Parameters
Typical double-skin construction for a cleanroom dedicated outdoor air system is listed below.
| Core Material | Closed-cell polyurethane insulation in thermally separated double-skin panels |
|---|---|
| Panel Thickness | 50–70 mm insulated casing |
| Effective Width | 1000–3400 mm nominal casing width |
| Maximum Length | Up to 12000 mm including recovery, coil, reheat and fan modules |
| Steel Facing Thickness | 0.6–1.0 mm outer skin and 0.8–1.0 mm wet-section lining |
| Core Density | 40–45 kg/m³ closed-cell polyurethane |
| Thermal Conductivity | 0.022–0.026 W/(m·K) for the casing insulation |
| Surface Finish | Powder-coated exterior with cleanable galvanized or stainless inner surfaces |
| Joint Type | Compression-gasketed thermal-break panels with isolated supply and exhaust air paths |
