Product Introduction

The clean steam exchange humidifier transfers heat from pressurized facility steam through a stainless heat exchanger into potable, reverse-osmosis or deionized make-up water. Boiler additives remain isolated from the atmospheric steam delivered to the air-handling system. A drainable vessel, modulating steam valve, level control and stainless dispersion assembly create a serviceable package for processes that require controlled humidity without introducing boiler-treatment carryover.

Key Features

A double-circuit heat exchanger keeps treated humidifier water physically separate from facility boiler condensate.

The 316 stainless heat exchanger provides a durable corrosion-resistant heat-transfer surface, while the vessel and remaining packaged components use stainless-steel construction suited to their service.

Modulating steam admission follows the humidity signal without cycling electric heating elements.

Accessible vessel connections, removable separator components and automatic drain functions simplify scale removal and sanitation routines.

Customer Product Concerns

Critical facilities often have abundant plant steam but cannot permit boiler-treatment chemicals or entrained condensate to enter the cleanroom supply air.

Facility steam contains treatment chemicals that are unsuitable for direct dispersion into occupied clean areas. The steam-to-steam heat exchanger boils a separate treated-water circuit, so plant steam and generated humidification steam never mix.
Mineral deposits can accumulate on heat-transfer surfaces and reduce output over time.RO or DI make-up water, automatic drain cycles and an accessible stainless vessel reduce deposit loading and support routine cleaning.
A wide humidity load range can cause wet duct surfaces when steam output changes too abruptly.A modulating control valve meters heat input while a correctly sized dispersion manifold promotes rapid absorption across the duct.
Maintenance access is difficult when the humidifier is buried inside an air-handling section. The freestanding skid locates the vessel, valve train, strainer and drains at floor level while only the dispersion assembly occupies the duct.
