Product Introduction

Chilled water circulates through multiple copper-tube rows while warm air crosses blue hydrophilic aluminum fins. When the fin temperature drops below dew point, moisture condenses and drains into a stainless pan beneath the coil. Counterflow circuiting, sufficient face area and controlled fin spacing balance latent performance, water velocity and air pressure drop for cleanroom humidity control.

Key Features

Deep multi-row construction provides both sensible cooling and moisture removal at controlled face velocity.

Hydrophilic fin treatment encourages condensate to form a thin draining film instead of bridging between fins.

Insulated supply and return headers limit external sweating in the AHU casing.

A sloped stainless drain pan captures condensate and exposes the drain outlet for cleaning.

Customer Product Concerns

Cooling coils must remove moisture without carrying droplets downstream or creating stagnant condensate zones.

High face velocity pulls condensate off the coil into downstream filters.Adequate face area and an optional droplet eliminator keep carryover below the design airflow.
Water retained between fins supports fouling and odor.Hydrophilic coating and a properly pitched coil encourage rapid drainage into the pan.
Uninsulated headers sweat outside the drain-pan footprint.Closed-cell header insulation directs any surface moisture toward contained drainage areas.
Poor circuit balance leaves warm streaks in supply air.Matched circuits and full-width headers distribute chilled water uniformly across the face.
