Product Introduction

The BACnet protocol gateway reads selected values from Modbus or other field devices and exposes them as named BACnet objects. Object type, instance, units, writable status and change-of-value behavior can be configured to match the building automation database. BACnet/IP Ethernet and BACnet MS/TP serial options allow connection to new or existing supervisory networks. Device discovery, object diagnostics and polling statistics help verify that cleanroom sensors, meters and equipment states are represented accurately without replacing their original controllers.

Key Features

Field registers are mapped into structured BACnet analog, binary and multistate objects.

BACnet/IP and MS/TP options connect to different building automation network layers.

Change-of-value reporting reduces unnecessary polling for slowly changing room conditions.

Object and communication diagnostics identify mapping, timeout and discovery problems.

Customer Product Concerns

Protocol conversion is successful only when engineering units, writable behavior and alarm meaning survive the register-to-object mapping.

Raw Modbus registers appear in the BMS without meaningful names or units.Configured BACnet objects assign descriptive names, units and object types to each value.
A read-only field value is accidentally exposed as writable.Object mapping explicitly controls command permissions and write behavior.
Continuous polling overloads a slower field network.Polling intervals and COV reporting balance freshness with serial-network capacity.
Duplicate BACnet device or object instances prevent discovery.Unique instance planning and built-in diagnostics expose address conflicts before integration.
