Activated Carbon Pocket Filter
- Particle and Gas Filtration
- Conical Pocket Geometry
- Distributed Carbon Layer
- Large Media Surface
Product Introduction
The activated carbon pocket filter combines an upstream particulate layer, a bonded activated-carbon layer and a stabilizing downstream support within multiple tapered pockets. The long pockets provide a much greater media area than a flat panel and distribute both particle loading and carbon adsorption over the airflow. Stitched or ultrasonically welded spacers keep the pockets separated, while a steel or molded-polymer header fits standard bag-filter housings. It is intended for indoor-air-quality duty where moderate odors and particulates must be addressed without installing two separate filter stages.
Key Features
Tapered pockets remain separated at design flow and use the available housing depth efficiently.
The distributed carbon layer exposes adsorbent across a broad area instead of concentrating it near the header.
A rigid header provides a familiar replacement interface for standard front- or side-access bag-filter systems.
Customer Product Concerns
Separate particle and molecular stages consume valuable air-handler length, yet a thin carbon panel may not provide enough active area for the required airflow.
