This air shower eliminates the need for gowned personnel to touch a door handle. A presence sensor opens the entry leaf, then door-closed and lock signals allow the airflow cycle to begin. After cleaning, the clean-side sliding door opens through the programmed sequence. Top-hung movement avoids the floor swing clearance and lower track contamination associated with conventional hinged doors.
