Direct Steam Injection Humidifier
A conditioned-steam assembly that separates condensate, modulates plant steam and disperses dry vapor through a preheated stainless duct lance.
- Dry Plant-Steam Conditioning
- Cyclonic Moisture Separation
- Modulating Control Valve
- Preheated Dispersion Lance
Product Introduction
Plant steam first enters a vertical separator where velocity changes and internal baffles remove entrained condensate. A modulating valve meters the dry steam to a stainless distribution lance, while a tracer circuit warms the lance to reduce internal condensation. Steam traps continuously drain the separator and tracer so only conditioned vapor reaches the airstream.
Key Features
A modulating valve adjusts plant-steam flow directly to humidity demand without a local electric boiler.
The preheated stainless lance limits condensation at the dispersion orifices during modulation.
Independent separator and tracer traps maintain continuous drainage and reduce waterhammer risk.
Customer Product Concerns
Direct injection is effective only when plant steam is dry, accurately metered and dispersed before duct surfaces can become wet.
Wet plant steam spits condensate from duct nozzles. The vertical separator and continuous trap remove liquid before steam enters the dispersion lance.
An unheated lance condenses steam at low output.A tracer circuit preheats the stainless lance and drains its condensate separately.
Short absorption distance wets downstream filters. One or more correctly sized lances distribute steam across the duct face in smaller jets.
A sticking valve causes humidity overshoot.A characterized modulating valve and matched actuator provide repeatable flow control.
