Product Introduction

Phenolic Foam Cleanroom Sandwich Panels use a rigid thermoset foam core bonded between smooth metal skins. The fine closed-cell structure offers strong insulation at modest thickness and phenolic chemistry is known for comparatively low smoke production among rigid organic foams. Because phenolic foam is more brittle than PU or PIR, protected edges and controlled handling are especially important. When fully enclosed and accurately bonded, the panel provides a lightweight insulated wall or ceiling for controlled-temperature rooms where space efficiency is a major design consideration.

Key Features

Fine closed cells provide efficient thermal resistance in a compact panel depth.

Thermoset phenolic chemistry offers improved heat and smoke behavior compared with standard polystyrene foam.

Low core density keeps the completed enclosure light and easy to assemble.

Continuous steel facings protect the brittle foam from routine contact and cleaning.

Closed joint profiles maintain insulation continuity along the wall or ceiling line.

Customer Product Concerns

The main purchasing concerns are brittle core edges, bond integrity, moisture protection and compatibility with service openings.

Phenolic foam can fracture at an unprotected edge during rough handling.Full perimeter closures and rigid packaging shield the core until the panel is installed.
Poor adhesive coverage can allow a brittle core to separate from the skin.Uniform lamination pressure and controlled adhesive application maintain full-face bonding.
Site-cut holes expose foam and create weak, irregular edges.Openings are factory prepared and finished with closed profiles before delivery.
Condensation at a discontinuous joint can bypass the high-performance insulation.Interlocking edges and continuous sealing preserve the thermal layer between panels.
