Product Introduction

The cleanroom humidity sensor uses a capacitive polymer element whose electrical response changes with water-vapor concentration. A protective membrane or porous filter shields the element from particles and incidental contact while allowing moisture diffusion. Signal conditioning linearizes and temperature-compensates the RH output for connection to environmental monitoring or HVAC controls. Wall versions use a compact ventilated enclosure; duct versions place a filtered probe into the airstream while keeping wiring accessible outside the duct.

Key Features

Capacitive sensing responds across normal cleanroom humidity ranges without a moving mechanism.

A replaceable filter protects the sensitive element from dust and handling contamination.

Temperature compensation reduces humidity error caused by normal room-temperature variation.

Wall and duct formats place the same sensing principle at the appropriate measurement location.

Customer Product Concerns

Humidity measurement is vulnerable to contamination, local condensation and unsuitable mounting locations that do not represent the room air.

Cleaning residue coats the humidity element and causes slow drift.A replaceable protective filter reduces direct contamination and simplifies service.
Condensation temporarily saturates the sensor after a cold-air event.A hydrophobic filter and appropriate probe placement reduce liquid-water contact.
A wall pocket measures stagnant air rather than the occupied zone.Ventilated housing and considered mounting height expose the element to representative circulation.
Long field wiring adds noise to a low-level sensor signal.Integrated active signal conditioning provides a robust current, voltage or digital output.
