Product Introduction

The cleanroom door position sensor pairs a reed-switch module on the frame with a permanent magnet on the moving leaf. When the door closes and the two housings align within the sensing gap, the magnetic field changes the dry contact state sent to the interlock or access controller. Stainless or smooth white housings protect the encapsulated components, and the absence of a mechanical plunger removes a contact point from the clean opening.

Key Features

Magnetic operation detects the closed position without physical contact between the two modules.

Encapsulated reed contacts resist contamination at the sensing element and require no exposed actuator.

Separate sensor and magnet housings accommodate frame-to-leaf movement across a controlled gap.

Dry-contact wiring integrates with interlocks, access panels and local door-status indicators.

Customer Product Concerns

The control system must distinguish a physically closed door from one that is merely locked or moving through the frame.

A mechanical limit switch wears or traps residue where its plunger touches the door. The sealed reed and magnet sense alignment without mechanical contact.
Frame movement causes intermittent feedback when the sensing gap is too narrow.Matched surface or recessed housings provide a defined operating gap and adjustment range.
An interlock releases the opposite door before the first leaf has fully returned. The controller receives a dedicated closed-position contact from the aligned sensor pair.
