Product Introduction

The AHU replacement filter is an extended-surface pocket filter installed in a front- or side-access filter bank. Six tapered glass-fiber bags increase usable media area behind a standard square header while internal seams keep the pockets separated as airflow develops. A folded galvanized-steel frame holds the pocket mouths square, and a continuous perimeter gasket can seal the header against the retaining frame. Replacement selection must reproduce the existing face dimensions, pocket depth, filter stage, airflow direction and gasket location so the new filter seats correctly without bypass or interference inside the air-handling unit.

A pocket filter can fit the opening yet still perform poorly when its depth, pocket layout or sealing arrangement differs from the original module.

An incorrect face size or header depth prevents the replacement from seating beneath the existing clamps.Module width, height, header depth and retaining-frame clearance are matched to the removed filter before manufacture.

Bags that are too long can contact coils, dampers or the next filter stage inside a shallow AHU section.Pocket depth and installed airflow direction are selected to preserve the measured downstream service clearance.

A missing or misplaced gasket allows unfiltered air to bypass the media around the header.Gasket material, face location and continuity are configured for the actual sealing surface in the filter bank.

Poor pocket separation causes adjacent bags to crowd together and reduces effective media exposure.Tapered pocket geometry and continuous internal separators hold six flow paths open across the module.
