Product Introduction

This molecular filter contains chemically treated alumina, activated carbon or co-formed hybrid pellets with high reactivity toward reduced and oxidized sulfur compounds. The adsorbent bed is held in a robust perforated cassette that controls residence time and prevents channeling. It is used where sulfur gases create corrosion, odour or process-yield problems, including wastewater, pulp processing and industrial control environments. Media grades can be arranged in stages when VOCs are also present.

Key Features

Hybrid chemistry targets both hydrogen sulfide and broader acidic sulfur species.

Spherical pellets maintain open airflow passages through a deep media bed.

Corrosion-resistant retainers confine media in aggressive industrial environments.

Separate media stages prevent VOC loading from consuming sulfur-specific capacity.

Customer Product Concerns

Sulfur gases can cause rapid electronic corrosion and severe odour at concentrations too low for particle filters to affect.

Hydrogen sulfide corrodes copper traces inside control cabinets.Reactive sulfur media removes H2S before make-up air reaches sensitive electronics.
High humidity shortens the apparent capacity of conventional carbon.Hybrid or impregnated pellets are selected for the expected sulfur species and moisture level.
Mercaptan odour persists after particulate treatment.A chemically active deep bed captures reduced-sulfur molecules that pass through dust filters.
A mixed contaminant stream exhausts one adsorbent prematurely.Dedicated sulfur and VOC stages divide the load according to each media's adsorption chemistry.
