Static-Dissipative Flooring

Static-Dissipative Flooring provides a durable homogeneous vinyl surface engineered to release accumulated charge at a controlled rate through a properly grounded installation.
  • Permanently dissipative homogeneous vinyl construction.
  • Tile or sheet formats for controlled-area layouts.
  • Grounded installation through conductive adhesive and copper strips.

Product Introduction

The flooring contains static-control material throughout its compact vinyl thickness rather than relying on a temporary surface treatment. Tiles or sheets are bonded to a prepared substrate, with conductive adhesive and copper strips used where required by the electrical design. The matte, non-directional surface supports frequent cleaning, rolling traffic and coordinated color schemes in controlled technical interiors.

Key Features

Homogeneous material preserves dissipative function throughout the usable thickness.

Controlled charge decay is suited to general ESD-sensitive processing environments.

Low-glare surface is easy to inspect and maintain.

Tile format supports localized replacement; sheet format reduces joint count.

Compact construction accommodates rolling chairs and light mobile equipment.

Copper-strip and conductive-adhesive installation integrates with the designated grounding system.

Customer Product Concerns

A reliable dissipative floor depends on the covering, adhesive, grounding layout, substrate preparation and maintenance working as one installed system.

A topical antistatic finish wears away.Homogeneous construction distributes dissipative material through the full floor thickness.
Electrical readings differ between floor areas.Conductive adhesive and a planned copper-strip network create defined ground paths across the installation.
Seams trap residue in controlled rooms.Heat-welded sheet seams or accurately fitted tile joints form a smooth cleanable surface.
Rolling chairs leave visible indentation.Compact resilient vinyl is selected for low residual indentation under normal technical-area traffic.
Damaged areas are expensive to repair.Tile format enables localized replacement where maintenance flexibility is a priority.

Typical Applications

Electronics assembly and inspection rooms.Cleanrooms and technical laboratories.Healthcare diagnostic and equipment areas.Precision manufacturing and test facilities.Controlled corridors connecting ESD protected zones.
