Product Introduction

The hydrophobic HEPA filter is configured for cleanroom supply or exhaust streams that experience high relative humidity, intermittent condensation or nearby washdown activity. The media pack uses expanded PTFE or a water-repellent treated glass microfibre, with sealed edges that limit moisture entry into the pleat pack. An anodized-aluminium or stainless-steel frame avoids exposed absorbent board, and compatible polyurethane potting anchors the media. Drain-tolerant faceguard details and a closed-cell gasket complete a construction intended to maintain clean geometry in damp service.

Key Features

Hydrophobic membrane or treated microglass media limits water uptake into the filtration layer.

Non-absorbent aluminium or stainless-steel framing suits repeatedly humid operating conditions.

Sealed pack edges reduce the risk of moisture tracking between the media and support frame.

A corrosion-resistant faceguard protects pleats without introducing an untreated steel surface.

Customer Product Concerns

Water vapour and occasional droplets can raise resistance, weaken untreated pack edges and corrode conventional filter hardware.

Condensation wets the media and sharply increases pressure drop.Hydrophobic filter media resists liquid-water penetration and reduces moisture retention within the pleat structure.
Cardboard or untreated steel components deteriorate in humid service.Anodized aluminium, stainless steel and polymer-compatible seals remove absorbent and corrosion-prone frame materials.
Moisture enters the pack through exposed cut media edges.Continuous perimeter potting isolates the pleat ends and bonds them to the frame.
Water remains trapped behind a dense protective grille.Open corrosion-resistant faceguards and suitable mounting orientation allow the exposed surface to dry.
