The hydrophobic HEPA filter is configured for cleanroom supply or exhaust streams that experience high relative humidity, intermittent condensation or nearby washdown activity. The media pack uses expanded PTFE or a water-repellent treated glass microfibre, with sealed edges that limit moisture entry into the pleat pack. An anodized-aluminium or stainless-steel frame avoids exposed absorbent board, and compatible polyurethane potting anchors the media. Drain-tolerant faceguard details and a closed-cell gasket complete a construction intended to maintain clean geometry in damp service.

Water remains trapped behind a dense protective grille.Open corrosion-resistant faceguards and suitable mounting orientation allow the exposed surface to dry.
