Product Introduction

The AHU bearing is a single-row deep-groove rolling bearing selected for compatible fan motors, blower shafts or bearing cartridges. Hardened steel inner and outer rings contain one row of precision balls separated by a cage, while optional elastomer seals retain lubricant and restrict contaminant entry. The deep raceways support radial load and moderate axial load in either direction, making this construction common in rotating air-moving equipment. Replacement selection must match the original bore, outside diameter, width, internal clearance, closure arrangement, speed and fit rather than using shaft diameter as the only criterion.

The same bore size is available in several outside diameters, widths, clearances and closure styles.The complete designation and measured bore, outer diameter and width are checked before an interchange is selected.
An overly tight fit or impact through the wrong ring can brinell the raceway before the fan returns to service.Mounting force is applied only to the ring being fitted, using controlled tooling and the specified shaft and housing tolerances.
Open, shielded and contact-sealed bearings differ in grease retention, friction and contamination protection.The closure and lubricant arrangement are selected for the installed speed, access and cleanliness conditions.
