Product Introduction

This filter places a packed bed of impregnated activated alumina, activated carbon or hybrid pellets between perforated retaining screens. The chemically treated surface captures and reacts with acidic gases such as hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, chlorine and selected nitrogen oxides. A sealed galvanized or stainless-steel frame prevents bypass, while fine outlet scrim limits carryover of adsorbent dust into controlled air systems. The configuration is suitable for make-up air, recirculation and corrosion-control stages where ordinary particle filters cannot remove molecules.

Key Features

Uniform bed depth avoids short air paths through the adsorbent.

Impregnated media targets reactive acid gases rather than only general odours.

Corrosion-resistant screens support the pellet bed without obstructing airflow.

Replaceable or refillable constructions allow media selection to follow the contaminant profile.

Customer Product Concerns

Trace acidic gases can corrode contacts and process surfaces even when particulate air quality appears acceptable.

Copper and silver contacts tarnish despite high-efficiency particle filtration. An acid-selective adsorbent stage removes molecular contaminants that pass through particulate media.
Loose pellets settle and create an untreated path at the top of the cell.Vibration-filled media and internal compression retain an even bed throughout transport and operation.
Adsorbent dust migrates toward sensitive production equipment.Perforated retainers and downstream nonwoven scrim contain fines inside the filter cell.
A single carbon grade performs poorly against a changing acid-gas mixture.Activated alumina, impregnated carbon or hybrid blends can be selected for the actual contaminant spectrum.
