Negative-Pressure Containment Pass Box
A transfer chamber held below adjacent-room pressure so leakage is drawn inward and routed to filtered exhaust.
- Negative Chamber Bias
- Filtered Exhaust
- Controlled Make-Up Air
- Pressure-Gated Interlocks
Product Introduction
The negative-pressure containment pass box moves dusty, potent or odorous material without allowing a passive leak towards the support space. A variable-speed exhaust fan maintains the selected negative pressure, while a controlled make-up path avoids excessive suction at the door seals. A pressure signal controls the interlock logic and indicates when the chamber has recovered after a transfer.
Key Features
A deliberate make-up air path limits high-velocity leakage through random gaps.
The clean-side door can remain inhibited until pressure recovers.
A sealed final-filter service panel separates captured material from the corridor.
Smooth welded internal surfaces support wipe-down after transfer.
Customer Product Concerns
The chamber needs to keep leakage inward without making doors difficult to operate or disrupting adjacent spaces.
Exhaust force makes a door difficult to unlatch.Controlled make-up air and an adjustable setpoint limit the differential pressure.
Filter loading reduces extraction and reverses the leakage direction.Pressure-responsive fan control adjusts airflow as resistance changes.
Captured powder is exposed during routine filter service.A gasketed service housing keeps handling on the designated dirty side.
The next door opens before the chamber recovers.Pressure-gated interlocks delay release until the selected negative bias returns.
