Product Introduction

The medium-efficiency pleated panel filter uses a fine synthetic mechanical medium formed into uniform radial pleats and bonded to a downstream support grid. Higher fiber density and increased pleat count improve capture of smaller airborne particles compared with a coarse panel, while the expanded surface keeps resistance manageable. The enclosing frame includes diagonal stabilizers and a continuous media bond to prevent bypass. One-, two- and four-inch nominal depths allow the filter to serve as an intermediate stage or as a compact final filter in non-critical ventilation.

Key Features

Mechanical synthetic fibers maintain efficiency without relying solely on an electrostatic charge.

Uniform pleat spacing balances media area with open airflow channels.

A downstream wire backing controls media movement through fan cycling and variable airflow.

Continuous bonding between media and frame closes edge bypass around the pleated pack.

Customer Product Concerns

A medium-efficiency panel must provide sustained particle capture without excessive pleat crowding or edge leakage.

Charged media loses part of its efficiency as the electrostatic effect dissipates.A mechanical fiber blend provides stable capture through the normal loading cycle.
Adding finer media causes an unacceptable increase in fan pressure demand. The deeper pleated geometry expands media area and lowers the velocity through each square metre.
Pleats flutter and release retained dust during variable-air-volume operation.Bonded wire support and diagonal frame members keep the pack stable as airflow changes.
Air leaks around the panel because the rack face is uneven.A square rigid frame with optional perimeter gasket provides a continuous compression surface.
