Product Introduction

The low-profile fan filter unit reduces overall height by recessing a broad EC impeller and compact inlet bell into the shallow pressure chamber. The full ceiling footprint is retained, so the final-filter face does not need to shrink with the housing depth. Folded edge channels stiffen the thin casing, and side-mounted electrical access avoids adding equipment above the unit. This construction is intended for renovations, mezzanines and equipment mini-environments where structural beams or services leave little space above the cleanroom ceiling.

Key Features

A recessed impeller uses the available plan area to minimize the distance between the inlet and filter face.

Folded perimeter channels limit panel vibration without a tall external reinforcing frame.

The side-access controller can be reached within a narrow ceiling void without removing the fan assembly.

A full-area mini-pleat filter preserves a broad low-velocity outlet despite the compact casing.

Customer Product Concerns

When ceiling height is restricted, the FFU must become shallower without sacrificing filter area, access or uniform outlet velocity.

A conventional 350 mm deep FFU conflicts with cable trays, sprinklers or roof framing above the cleanroom. The recessed fan architecture reduces module depth to approximately 206 mm while retaining the ceiling footprint.
A small high-speed fan fitted into a shallow box creates a concentrated jet and visible diffuser hot spots.A broad low-profile impeller and shallow distribution baffles spread air before it reaches the filter face.
Top-mounted control boxes consume the clearance gained by specifying a shallow FFU.Electrical service hardware is arranged within the side envelope rather than stacked above the inlet.
Thin sheet panels can resonate and transmit fan vibration into the ceiling grid.Folded side rails and elastomeric motor supports stiffen the housing and interrupt vibration paths.
