Product Introduction

The flat panel pre-filter uses a flat pad of progressively dense glass or polyester fiber bonded into a moisture-resistant frame. Open fibers on the entering-air side accept large debris, while the denser downstream layer retains smaller coarse particles through the pad depth. Thermoplastic bonding around the perimeter closes bypass paths and keeps the media seated during normal fan cycling. The shallow construction fits standard prefilter tracks where low resistance and simple replacement are more important than fine-particle efficiency.

Key Features

A progressive fiber gradient distributes dust through the media depth instead of forming an immediate surface cake.

The shallow flat pad adds little resistance at normal air-handler face velocities.

Perimeter bonding prevents the media from lifting away from the frame as airflow changes.

A one-piece moisture-resistant frame keeps corners square during storage, handling and installation.

Customer Product Concerns

A primary filter must capture bulky contamination without consuming the pressure budget needed by downstream fine filters.

Lint and insects accumulate on cooling coils and block heat-transfer surfaces. The open upstream fiber layer intercepts large debris before it reaches the coil face.
A coarse filter with excessive resistance reduces supply airflow from small fans.A shallow low-density media pad preserves a broad open area and low clean-filter pressure drop.
Media edges lift from weak frames and let unfiltered air bypass the pad.Continuous thermoplastic perimeter bonding secures the pad to the frame on all four sides.
Frequent handling crushes corners and prevents the panel from sealing in its track.A rigid interlocking frame and reinforced corners maintain the specified face dimensions.
