This UV lamp tube is a replaceable low-pressure mercury discharge source for compatible enclosed air, surface and equipment-disinfection systems. One transparent T8 quartz envelope carries an electrode assembly at each end, while two white ceramic G13 caps provide four fixed contact pins for mechanical seating and electrical connection. The lamp contains no holder, reflector, ballast or enclosure, so tube length, diameter, wattage, operating current and control-gear type are matched to the existing unit before installation. Its germicidal output is invisible during normal operation; the replacement is therefore intended only for equipment that prevents unshielded personnel exposure and safely controls lamp operation.

The clear fused-quartz envelope transmits the intended short-wave output while retaining the familiar straight T8 geometry used by many professional disinfection systems.

Two medium bi-pin end caps provide a defined four-contact interface that supports quick tube removal without replacing the permanent fixture body.

Separate electrode structures at the two ends sustain the low-pressure discharge along one continuous tube rather than using LEDs or a visible-light phosphor coating.

A single bare-lamp format allows maintenance teams to replace only the spent radiation source when the existing holders, ballast and protective enclosure remain serviceable.

A tube that appears mechanically similar can still be incompatible with the installed holders or ballast; safe replacement requires the physical, electrical and shielding conditions to match as one system.

A lamp with the wrong overall length or pin spacing will not seat squarely in the existing G13 holders.Base-face length, overall pin-tip length, tube diameter and two-pin geometry are checked against the removed tube before selection.
Incorrect wattage, operating current or ballast type can prevent stable ignition and accelerate electrode wear.The replacement electrical rating is matched to the installed magnetic or electronic control gear rather than selected by appearance alone.
Quartz contamination and fingerprints can create local hot spots or reduce useful transmission after handling.The tube is handled by its ceramic caps or with clean gloves and the quartz surface is cleaned using a compatible lint-free method before operation.
An exposed operating UV-C source can injure eyes and skin even though the radiation is not visibly bright.The lamp is operated only inside a closed shielded unit with functional covers, door interlocks and power isolation for servicing.
