Product Introduction

The touchless cleanroom door switch uses reflected infrared energy to detect a hand within a selected near-field zone. A solid-state sensor and relay interface send the opening request to the automatic operator or access controller, while the illuminated face indicates standby and activation. Flush and surface-mounted versions provide a smooth front plate that is easier to wipe than a mechanical push button.

Key Features

Near-field infrared sensing reduces contact with door-control surfaces during gloved circulation.

The detection distance can be adjusted to reduce unwanted activation from passing traffic.

Color-changing illumination provides immediate visual feedback when a request is registered.

A dry relay output interfaces with automatic operators, access controllers and interlock logic.

Customer Product Concerns

A touchless switch must react predictably to an intentional hand approach without triggering whenever someone walks nearby.

Mechanical push plates add another surface that gloved users repeatedly touch.Infrared detection registers a request before the hand reaches the plate.
A sensor with excessive range opens the door when people simply pass the entrance. The short detection zone is adjusted to the wall position and circulation path.
Users cannot tell whether the automatic operator received the command. The indicator changes color immediately when the relay output activates.

Typical Applications

Hands-free personnel entrancesHospital clean corridorsLaboratory airlocksFood-production hygiene zones
