This stainless steel self-tapping screw combines a drill-point tip, coarse sheet-metal thread and hex washer head in one fastener. The cutting flutes form a pilot opening through compatible light-gauge steel, after which the thread draws the components together. The integral flange spreads seating pressure across trim or panel facing, while stainless construction supports clean, corrosion-resistant installation hardware.
