Sanitary Sampling Valve
A compact 316L membrane valve for withdrawing representative samples from hygienic tanks and process piping without exposing the main process to the surrounding environment.
- Sterilizable sampling path
- Compact 316L wetted body
- Tank or pipe mounting options
Product Introduction
The sanitary sampling valve provides a controlled small-bore path for routine microbiological or physicochemical sampling. A resilient membrane separates the operating mechanism from the product, while the polished stainless body and dedicated outlet arrangement support cleaning and sterilization before and after a sample is taken.
Key Features
Manual handwheel operation
Replaceable EPDM or silicone membrane
Polished low-retention wetted path
Separate sample and sterilization ports
Compact weld-in body
Drainable outlet orientation
Pneumatic actuation available as an option
Customer Product Concerns
A useful sample must represent the process while the valve remains cleanable, drainable and protected from contamination between sampling events.
A stagnant sample pocket compromises representativenessUse a compact low-volume body mounted close to the process wall or pipe bore.
Ambient contamination enters through the outletSterilize the dedicated outlet path before and after sampling and cap it between uses.
Residue remains behind the membraneSelect a drainable mounting orientation and inspect the membrane at defined maintenance intervals.
Operators release too much productUse the fine manual handwheel or an appropriately controlled pneumatic actuator for repeatable opening.
