Hydrogen Peroxide Disinfectant
- Nonflammable peroxide chemistry supports large-area treatment where alcohol vapor is undesirable
- Low-residue active decomposes to water and oxygen after application
- Handled capped containers provide controlled bulk supply for cleanroom wiping and mopping
Product Introduction
Hydrogen Peroxide Disinfectant is a clear, colorless, ready-to-use blend based on 6% hydrogen peroxide and WFI-quality or deionized water. The square-shoulder 5 L natural HDPE container combines an integrated carry handle with a peroxide-compatible threaded closure for measured transfer to a qualified wipe or mop system. A translucent wall allows the remaining volume to be checked without opening the package, while double- or triple-bagged formats can support staged cleanroom entry. The product is intended for compatible hard, nonporous surfaces; visible soil should be removed first, the labeled wet-contact time must be maintained, and a single-active peroxide formulation should not be assumed to provide the same claim set as a dedicated peracetic-acid or enhanced sporicidal product.
Key Features
WFI-quality or deionized-water blend options
Low nonvolatile residue after peroxide decomposition
Nonflammable liquid with no alcohol vapor contribution
0.2 micron filtered and sterile-fill configurations
Natural semi-translucent HDPE container with visible fill level
Integrated carry handle and tamper-evident threaded closure
Double- or triple-bagged transfer packaging options
Customer Product Concerns
Hydrogen peroxide performance depends on concentration, storage history, surface wetting, and freedom from catalytic contamination. Heat, ultraviolet light, elevated pH, and traces of transition metals can accelerate decomposition and release oxygen. An unsuitable transfer vessel or closure can therefore shorten usable life or allow pressure to build. Peroxide-compatible HDPE packaging, a tamper-evident controlled closure, protected storage, and a defined application volume help preserve the formulation from receipt through use.
Typical Applications
Technical Parameters
A 6% aqueous hydrogen peroxide formulation supplies oxidative activity without the volatile organic content of an alcohol disinfectant. Cleanroom grades are commonly blended with Water for Injection, passed through a 0.2 micron filter, and sterile filled into controlled primary packaging. The clear solution has a typical relative density of 1.020–1.023 at 20 °C and remains water soluble. Its low nonvolatile residue makes it useful where repeated alcohol rinsing would add time or vapor load, while the exact antimicrobial spectrum and wet-contact time remain those stated for the selected market formulation.
