Product Introduction

The seal uses a continuous U-shaped aluminum channel filled with compliant silicone gel around all four sides of the filter perimeter. When the housing knife edge enters the gel, the material flows around minor surface irregularities to form a continuous interface without relying on high gasket compression. The gel remains captive in the channel during room-side filter removal and replacement.

Key Features

A continuous four-sided channel eliminates open ends along the active sealing perimeter.

Compliant silicone gel conforms around the mating knife edge and small surface deviations.

The anodized aluminum carrier controls gel position and protects the seal during handling.

Pale-blue coloration provides visible contrast for inspection of the gel surface.

The channel profile supports repeated room-side filter change procedures.

Customer Product Concerns

Terminal HEPA interfaces must remain continuous around the full perimeter while accommodating small housing tolerances and repeated filter change-out.

Rigid sealing surfaces can leave bypass paths where the mating frame is slightly uneven. The compliant gel flows around the entering knife edge and conforms to minor geometric variation.
High gasket compression can make heavy ceiling filters difficult to seat consistently.Knife-edge immersion creates the seal without requiring the same level of bulk gasket compression.
Loose sealing compound can migrate or become contaminated during filter handling. The U-shaped aluminum carrier retains the gel around the complete perimeter.
Seal damage may be hard to see before a replacement filter is installed. The pale-blue gel contrasts with the silver channel for straightforward visual inspection.
