Conductive Epoxy Flooring
- Low-Resistance Path to Earth
- Carbon-Modified Wearing Layer
- Dedicated Earth Connections
- Chemical and Wear Resistance
Product Introduction
Conductive epoxy flooring is intended for spaces where charge must move rapidly to a verified ground, including rooms with flammable vapor, combustible dust or sensitive high-energy processes. A bonded primer supports copper earth points, a black conductive primer equalizes the field, and a carbon-modified epoxy wearing layer completes the path. Compared with general antistatic flooring, the typical average resistance is lower. The layer sequence, grounding density and continuity across repaired cracks are therefore treated as functional parts of the system rather than optional accessories.
Key Features
Carbon fibers or conductive mineral additives provide through-thickness continuity after normal surface wear.
Dedicated earth points route charge into the approved building grounding network.
A smooth-textured epoxy finish balances cleaning access with practical traction in controlled industrial rooms.
Customer Product Concerns
Low resistance must remain continuous over the whole floor; cracks, isolated repairs or an incomplete conductive primer can interrupt the route to earth.
Typical Applications
Technical Parameters
The ranges below describe a thin, smooth-textured conductive epoxy system for cementitious substrates.
| Core Material | Conductive epoxy primer and carbon-modified pigmented epoxy wearing resin |
|---|---|
| Panel Thickness | 0.6–0.8 mm nominal conductive coating system thickness |
| Effective Width | Typically 2000–3500 mm measured placement bay width |
| Maximum Length | Typically up to 12000 mm electrically continuous run between movement joints |
| Steel Facing Thickness | 0 mm; carbon additives and copper earth strips replace any steel facing |
| Core Density | Approximately 1500–1700 kg/m³ for the mixed conductive resin layer |
| Thermal Conductivity | Typically 0.32–0.48 W/(m·K) for carbon-filled cured epoxy |
| Surface Finish | Smooth-textured semi-gloss colored epoxy with optional restrained slip profile |
| Joint Type | Primer, copper earth point, conductive primer and conductive wearing coat; typical average resistance to ground 1 × 10⁵–1 × 10⁶ Ω |
| Customization | Available based on the intended application and operating environment. |
