Cleanroom Door Closer
- Compact Rack-and-Pinion Body
- Independent Speed Adjustment
- Two-Segment Link Arm
- Non-Handed Mounting Options
Product Introduction
The cleanroom door closer is a surface-mounted hydraulic control installed on a single-action swing door or its frame. A spring-loaded rack drives the top pinion as the door closes, while hydraulic oil passes through regulating valves to moderate the sweep and final approach. The articulated two-segment arm transfers this motion between the closer spindle and a compact frame shoe. A smooth coated cover limits exposed recesses on the visible body, and the closing force, arm geometry and mounting position are selected to suit the actual leaf width, mass, hinge arrangement, seal compression and locking hardware.
Key Features
Separate regulating valves allow the main closing movement and final latch approach to be balanced without changing the arm length.
The two-piece articulated arm accommodates common door-leaf, frame and parallel-arm mounting geometries for left- or right-hand operation.
A matte-black removable cover and matching arm provide a durable low-glare finish that remains visually distinct on light cleanroom doors.
Customer Product Concerns
Reliable cleanroom door return requires enough closing energy to compress the perimeter seal and engage the latch, but excessive speed or force can damage hardware and disturb controlled access.
Typical Applications
Technical Parameters
The following ranges cover common adjustable surface-mounted rack-and-pinion closers for single-action cleanroom doors; final force and arm selection depend on the complete door assembly.
| Core Material | Die-cast aluminum body with steel rack, pinion, spring, spindle and articulated link arm |
|---|---|
| Panel Thickness | 44-60 mm nominal closer-body depth |
| Effective Width | 55-70 mm nominal closer-body height |
| Maximum Length | Up to 290 mm closer-body length excluding the articulated arm |
| Steel Facing Thickness | 2.0-4.0 mm nominal steel link-arm section thickness |
| Core Density | Approximately 2700 kg/m³ for the die-cast aluminum housing |
| Thermal Conductivity | Approximately 160-205 W/(m·K) for representative aluminum housing alloys |
| Surface Finish | Matte-black powder-coated body cover, arm and two-hole frame shoe |
| Joint Type | Hydraulic rack-and-pinion spindle with two-segment pivot arm and bolted two-hole frame shoe |
