Product Introduction

The cleanroom door closer is a surface-mounted hydraulic control installed on a single-action swing door or its frame. A spring-loaded rack drives the top pinion as the door closes, while hydraulic oil passes through regulating valves to moderate the sweep and final approach. The articulated two-segment arm transfers this motion between the closer spindle and a compact frame shoe. A smooth coated cover limits exposed recesses on the visible body, and the closing force, arm geometry and mounting position are selected to suit the actual leaf width, mass, hinge arrangement, seal compression and locking hardware.

Key Features

A compact die-cast body contains the spring, rack, pinion and hydraulic damping circuit in one surface-mounted unit.

Separate regulating valves allow the main closing movement and final latch approach to be balanced without changing the arm length.

The two-piece articulated arm accommodates common door-leaf, frame and parallel-arm mounting geometries for left- or right-hand operation.

A matte-black removable cover and matching arm provide a durable low-glare finish that remains visually distinct on light cleanroom doors.

Customer Product Concerns

Reliable cleanroom door return requires enough closing energy to compress the perimeter seal and engage the latch, but excessive speed or force can damage hardware and disturb controlled access.

A closer selected without the leaf width and mass can feel heavy to open or fail to pull the door fully onto its seals. The closing-force range is matched to the measured leaf size, construction, hinge friction and required gasket compression.
A fast final swing causes impact noise, loosens fittings and can rebound before a magnetic lock or latch engages. The sweep and latch-stage valves are adjusted independently to slow travel while retaining a positive final approach.
Incorrect spindle, arm or shoe positioning creates binding and reduces the available opening angle.Mounting geometry is laid out for the selected door-side, frame-side or parallel-arm arrangement before drilling.
Routine cleaning or maintenance can alter valve settings or leave mounting screws loose.Recessed adjustment points and accessible cover fasteners support controlled setting checks and periodic hardware inspection.
