Product Introduction

This temperature and humidity sensor combines one capacitive-polymer relative-humidity element and one temperature element inside a short ventilated probe beneath a sealed wall enclosure. A dark two-line display window provides space for local presentation of the two measured values, while green and amber indicators give concise operating-state feedback. The rear mounting face uses two keyhole positions, and one bottom cable gland leads to a four-position screw terminal behind a small service hatch. The transmitter is intended for fixed room monitoring rather than handheld spot checks; supply voltage, output type, measurement range and probe protection are selected to match the connected building-management, cleanroom-monitoring or process-control system.

One exposed ventilated probe places both sensing elements in the room air stream while its slotted cap shields them from direct contact during routine cleaning.

A sealed molded enclosure separates the measurement electronics from the room surface and provides one controlled cable entry instead of loose external conductors.

The compact two-line display window supports simultaneous local reading of temperature and relative humidity without turning the transmitter into a handheld instrument.

Two rear keyhole points and a dedicated four-position terminal make mechanical replacement and conductor identification accessible from one service side.

Customer Product Concerns

A replacement environmental transmitter must agree with the installed probe location, output signal, supply, scaling and mounting details; matching only the enclosure size does not ensure comparable room data.

Mounting the probe close to a warm wall, supply-air jet or door opening can bias both displayed values away from representative room conditions.The sensor is positioned at the defined monitoring height with free air around the ventilated cap and separation from local heat, drafts and direct moisture.

A transmitter with the wrong analog range or digital protocol can send plausible-looking but incorrectly scaled values to the control system.Supply voltage, 4-20 mA or 0-10 V scaling, optional RS-485 protocol and channel assignment are matched to the receiving controller before connection.

Slow drift or contamination at the humidity element can change room-control decisions even when the display remains active.The fixed probe is inspected for blocked ventilation and compared periodically with a suitable reference at stable room conditions.

Cleaning liquid entering an open cable path or loosely closed service hatch can cause intermittent terminal faults.The single gland is sized to the installed cable, the terminal conductors are strain-relieved, and the gasketed service cover is fully reseated after wiring.
