Product Introduction

This privacy window laminates a polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal film between glass layers. When energized, the glazing becomes transparent for observation; when power is removed, it returns to a diffuse privacy state. The film, busbars and wiring are encapsulated inside the laminated unit and routed through the concealed frame, leaving both cleanroom faces smooth. It is well suited to process rooms, patient-facing clean areas and confidential laboratory zones where blinds would add moving parts and inaccessible surfaces.

Key Features

Electrical switching provides privacy without introducing slats, cords or a blind cavity.

The PDLC film and conductive busbars are fully laminated between protective glass layers.

Low-voltage control wiring exits through the concealed frame for connection to a wall switch or automation system.

The translucent off state preserves diffuse daylight while obscuring detailed views.

Customer Product Concerns

Switchable glazing must keep electrical terminations dry and concealed while preserving the same flush, wipeable perimeter expected from a cleanroom vision panel.

Integral blinds add moving components and inaccessible surfaces inside the glazing cavity. The laminated PDLC layer changes optical state without mechanical parts.
Visible cables and busbars disrupt the hygienic window edge.Electrical connections are hidden behind the opaque border and routed inside the subframe.
Privacy is needed only during selected operations rather than continuously.A local or building-control input changes the pane from clear to diffuse on demand.
