Product Introduction

The Settle Plate uses a clear 90 mm polystyrene dish filled with a smooth high-volume layer of growth medium. When the lid is removed at a monitoring location, viable-carrying particles sediment onto the exposed agar for later incubation and colony counting. The increased medium depth limits drying during extended exposure or high-volume active sampling. Critical-area versions are available gamma irradiated and triple wrapped, with lockable lid formats and neutralizers selected to reduce inhibition from residual disinfectants.

Key Features

The standard 90 mm format fits common cleanroom passive-monitoring stands and active air samplers.

A high agar fill maintains surface condition during exposure and extended incubation.

Triple wrapping and final-package irradiation support transfer into isolators and critical cleanrooms.

TSA, fungal media and disinfectant-neutralizing formulations cover different monitoring objectives.

Customer Product Concerns

A settle plate must remain sterile before exposure, resist drying during monitoring and recover organisms despite residual disinfectant carryover.

Thin agar dries during long exposure and reduces organism recovery. An increased fill volume provides greater moisture reserve for passive or high-volume active sampling.
Packaging transfer introduces contamination into a critical zone.Nested transparent sterile bags support staged removal through controlled-area boundaries.
Disinfectant droplets carried onto the plate suppress microbial growth.Optional lecithin, polysorbate, histidine and thiosulfate neutralizers reduce common sanitizer residue effects.
A loose lid separates during transport to incubation.A lockable lid option secures the plate while providing defined closed or vented positions.
