Product Introduction
This sanitary gasket is molded as one continuous white PTFE annulus for a compatible hygienic clamp connection. Its broad outer seating band is compressed between two aligned ferrule faces, while the raised concentric lip locates the seal at the process bore and helps maintain a smooth internal transition. The solid fluoropolymer body contains no fabric reinforcement, metal facing, open splice or secondary loose ring. PTFE offers broad chemical resistance and a smooth inspectable surface, but its lower elastic recovery than rubber means ferrule profile, gasket size, alignment and clamp loading must be matched carefully to the actual process joint.

The raised concentric locating lip registers with the sanitary ferrule recess and centers the one process bore during assembly.
Opaque white PTFE provides a smooth non-porous contact surface and practical resistance to many cleaning and process chemicals.
The low-profile seating band fits between compatible clamp ferrules without adding a hose section, metal carrier or separate O-ring.
Customer Product Concerns
A sanitary gasket is small, but the wrong profile, bore or material can disturb the internal flow path, extrude at the joint or lose sealing load during thermal cycling.
A gasket with the wrong ferrule profile may sit off-center or leave an internal step that traps residue at the process bore.The connection standard, ferrule outside diameter, process bore and locating-lip geometry are matched before the old seal is removed.
PTFE does not recover like an elastomer and can relax under sustained compression or repeated temperature cycles.Clamp type, loading method and inspection interval are selected for PTFE service, and the joint is checked after the defined thermal or cleaning cycle.
Misaligned ferrules can pinch the locating lip or force part of the gasket into the flow path.Both ferrule faces are cleaned, brought into concentric alignment and supported without side load before the clamp is closed.
A visually similar rubber or frame gasket may not tolerate the process fluid, temperature or cleaning chemistry.The selected PTFE grade is reviewed against the actual product, cleaning agents, temperature range and connection duty rather than chosen by color alone.
