Product Introduction

Microglass HEPA media is produced as a thin wet-laid sheet from controlled-diameter borosilicate fibres with a low level of binder. The random fibre network creates tortuous particle paths while retaining enough permeability for deep pleated packs. Uniform caliper and tensile strength support rotary or blade pleating, separator insertion and pack potting. The roll material is converted into complete filters where efficiency and resistance depend on grade, pleat geometry and finished-filter testing.

Key Features

Fine glass fibres create high capture efficiency at low media thickness.

Controlled basis weight keeps resistance consistent across the roll width.

Adequate machine-direction strength supports close mini-pleating.

Stable mineral fibres tolerate normal HEPA operating temperatures and humidity.

Customer Product Concerns

Finished HEPA performance depends on media uniformity, pleat integrity and pack sealing rather than paper efficiency alone.

Basis-weight variation creates high-resistance bands across the roll.Controlled wet-laying distributes glass fibres evenly across the web.
Brittle paper cracks at tight pleat folds.Selected binder and caliper balance foldability with low airflow resistance.
Loose glass fibres shed during conversion.A bonded microglass network provides handling strength for pleating and pack assembly.
Media data is assumed to equal finished-filter leakage performance. The converted pack is potted, framed and individually verified as a complete filter element.
