Product Introduction
The Individually Ventilated Cage Rack is a single-sided vivarium housing frame built around thirty identical cage positions arranged in five labelled columns and six labelled rows. The illustrated configuration uses warm-amber transparent polysulfone cage bodies with smoke-gray ventilated lids, external water bottles, dark support runners and a positive docking indicator at every position. A welded AISI 304 structure carries separate rear supply and exhaust plenums, six horizontal distribution levels and two 100 mm upper connection collars identified in blue and red. Each cage slides into aligned paired nozzles rather than sharing open shelf air. Four 125 mm non-marking castors, including two front braking wheels, provide controlled rack movement for room cleaning and service. This product is the cage rack only; an external or facility-connected air-handling source is selected separately and is not built into the frame.
Key Features
Separate stainless supply and exhaust plenums terminate at two labelled 100 mm top collars, keeping the rack free of an integral blower cabinet and allowing the ventilation source to be selected for the facility strategy.
Paired quick-connect nozzles, guided polymer runners and spring docking indicators align each cage with its own ventilation path while allowing a cage to be withdrawn in a straight controlled motion.
The welded stainless frame and smooth manifold surfaces are carried on four sealed-bearing non-marking castors, with two foot brakes stabilising the rack at its operating position.
