Electrostatic Field Meter

The Electrostatic Field Meter is a portable non-contact instrument for checking static voltage on products, packaging, equipment and process surfaces during ESD surveys.
  • Non-contact sensing locates the polarity and magnitude of electrostatic fields on materials and equipment.
  • Blue digital display and four direct controls support clear zero, range and hold operation.
  • Protected sensor, conductive reference socket and detachable ground lead suit repeatable facility audits.

Product Introduction

This compact field meter places a guarded circular sensing electrode above a high-contrast blue display for direct observation of signed electrostatic readings. Four tactile controls provide power, zero, range and display-hold functions without navigating a complex menu. A textured charcoal enclosure and rubberized side grips support one-handed use, while the integrated rear stand holds the display at a convenient angle for bench checks. The metal reference socket accepts the supplied grounding lead when a stable earth reference is required for repeatable measurements.

Key Features

Non-contact field-sensing principle avoids touching the charged test surface.

Signed digital reading distinguishes positive and negative electrostatic polarity.

Protected circular electrode reduces accidental contact during portable use.

Dedicated power, zero, range and hold buttons simplify routine measurements.

Ground-reference socket and detachable clip lead support measurement stability.

Integrated kickstand permits hands-free viewing during stationary checks.

Compact battery-powered housing travels easily between audit locations.

Customer Product Concerns

Electrostatic voltage is invisible, and a useful survey instrument must maintain a known measuring relationship, show polarity clearly and hold readings taken in positions where the screen cannot be watched continuously.

Contact probes can disturb or discharge the test surface. The guarded electrode senses the surrounding field without touching the charged object.
Results drift when the operator lacks a stable reference.A dedicated ground socket and clip lead provide an optional earth reference during measurement.
A reading changes before the instrument can be brought into view. The hold control freezes the displayed value for safe review after the measurement position is cleared.
Small positive and negative readings are easily confused. The illuminated digital display presents a signed value and range information together.
Portable meters are awkward to use during a bench investigation.Rubberized grips protect handling surfaces, and the rear support positions the screen for stationary observation.

Typical Applications

Static-field surveys in electronics assembly areas.Semiconductor and display manufacturing process checks.Investigation of charged packaging, films and molded parts.Verification around ionization and contamination-control processes.Periodic audits of ESD workstations, carts and production equipment.
