Continuous Wrist Strap Monitor

The Continuous Wrist Strap Monitor supervises one operator grounding path and provides a clear visual and audible warning when the connected wrist-strap circuit is no longer within its intended operating condition.
  • Continuous supervision identifies an interrupted operator grounding path during work.
  • Separate safe and fault indicators make the current condition immediately visible.
  • Compact enclosure and dedicated earth lead simplify installation at one workstation.

Product Introduction

This single-station monitor places the wrist-strap input, green safe indicator, red fault indicator, audible annunciator and earth connection on one compact front panel. A textured dark-gray housing protects the monitoring electronics, while the green-and-yellow lead with ring lug provides a recognizable connection to the designated workstation earth point. The small footprint suits mounting beneath a shelf, beside a work surface or near an equipment operating position without occupying the main assembly area.

Key Features

Single-operator circuit supports an individually assigned ESD workstation.

Continuous sensing reduces the unmonitored interval between periodic strap tests.

Green safe and red fault lamps provide direct local status recognition.

Integrated audible annunciator attracts attention when the operator is not facing the panel.

Front-access wrist-strap socket supports routine connection and disconnection.

Dedicated protective-earth lead terminates in a serviceable metal ring lug.

Customer Product Concerns

A single-station monitor must identify loss of operator grounding promptly, remain easy to interpret and connect to the prescribed earth point without adding clutter to the active work surface.

A wrist strap can fail after the operator has passed a periodic check.Continuous circuit supervision watches the operator path throughout the active work period.
A fault is missed because the operator is concentrating on an assembly task.Combined red visual status and an audible annunciator provide two local warning channels.
Operators cannot quickly distinguish normal and alarm conditions.Separate green safe and red fault indicators present an uncomplicated two-state display.
The ground connection is confused with unrelated bench wiring.A dedicated green-and-yellow lead and ring lug identify the intended protective-earth route.
A large monitor consumes valuable workstation area. The compact enclosure can be positioned close to the operator connection without occupying the primary handling zone.

Typical Applications

Single-operator electronics assembly benches.PCB inspection and hand-soldering stations.Static-sensitive component repair positions.ESD-protected packing and kitting work areas.Clean manufacturing stations handling electrostatic-sensitive devices.
