Compressed Gas Microbial Sampling Kit
- Controlled compressed-gas impaction sampling.
- Removable stainless culture-plate head.
- Visible pressure and flow verification.
Product Introduction
This non-powered sampling assembly directs a controlled stream of compressed air or process gas through a removable perforated impactor head and onto a fitted culture plate. A compact stainless-steel base groups the inlet connection, analog pressure indication, variable-area flowmeter and single adjustment valve into a stable field unit. The detachable head and short outlet path can be dismantled for cleaning, while interchangeable plate retainers accommodate routine Petri-dish or contact-plate workflows. The kit is intended for representative point-of-use sampling before laboratory incubation and colony assessment; it is structurally distinct from oil, particle and moisture test instruments.
Key Features
One analog pressure gauge and one clear variable-area flowmeter provide separate, immediately visible checks of inlet condition and sample flow.
Single regulator knob supports controlled start-up and adjustment without adding a powered pump or electronic particle sensor.
Detachable sampling head, smooth stainless wetted path and sanitary connections simplify cleaning between sampling locations.
One compressed-gas quick inlet and one short outlet tube keep the sampling topology easy to inspect and assemble.
Stable feet and a fold-flat carrying handle support transport between utility points and steady placement during collection.
Customer Product Concerns
Compressed-gas microbial sampling must reduce pressure, establish a known flow, protect organism recovery and prevent cross-contamination while keeping the culture medium isolated from ambient exposure.
Typical Applications
Technical Parameters
Representative construction for a portable compressed-gas microbial sampling kit is listed below; the selected inlet pressure, flowmeter range, culture-plate format, seal material and cleaning method should match the gas service and monitoring procedure.
| Core Material | 316L stainless-steel base, pressure and flow manifold, removable impactor head and plate retainer, with borosilicate flow tube, PTFE outlet tubing and compatible elastomer seals |
|---|---|
| Panel Thickness | Typically 2.0-3.0 mm for the stainless base plate and folded support panels |
| Effective Width | Approximately 260-340 mm across the portable flow-control base |
| Maximum Length | Approximately 380-450 mm for the complete assembled kit, excluding the detachable inlet hose |
| Steel Facing Thickness | Typically 1.0-1.5 mm for the folded stainless covers, guards and plate-retainer components |
| Core Density | Approximately 7900-8000 kg/m³ for the 316L stainless-steel structural and wetted components |
| Thermal Conductivity | Approximately 14-16 W/(m·K) for the 316L stainless-steel components at ambient temperature |
| Surface Finish | Passivated satin or electropolished stainless wetted surfaces, clear flow tube, white gauge face, black control knob and blue compressed-gas hose |
| Joint Type | Sanitary detachable impactor-head connection with one compressed-gas quick-connect inlet and one short PTFE outlet-tube connection |
| Customization | Available based on the intended application and operating environment. |
