Product Introduction

The automatic door drop seal fits into a mortised channel along the bottom of the cleanroom leaf. As the door closes, a frame-side plunger drives an internal linkage that lowers the silicone or EPDM sealing element evenly toward the floor. Opening releases the plunger and retracts the gasket into its aluminum carrier, reducing drag, wear and contamination pickup compared with a permanently rubbing sweep.

Key Features

Parallel drop action follows the threshold without sweeping debris across the floor.

The gasket retracts inside the carrier whenever the door opens, limiting abrasion and damage.

An adjustable plunger sets the release point and compensates for installation tolerance.

The aluminum carrier can be trimmed within its permitted range to match the door width.

Customer Product Concerns

The door bottom must seal pressure leakage without creating continuous friction against a smooth cleanroom floor.

A fixed rubber sweep drags during every cycle and leaves wear marks on the floor. The sealing blade stays retracted until the leaf reaches the closing frame.
Uneven thresholds leave leakage at one end of a rigid bottom seal. The internal mechanism lowers the resilient gasket progressively along the opening.
An exposed surface strip creates a visible ledge along the clean face. The carrier is mortised into the door bottom with only the gasket outlet exposed.

Typical Applications

Airtight cleanroom swing doorsPersonnel airlock doorsLaboratory pressure-control doorsAcoustic controlled-area entrances
