Introducción del producto

Aluminum insulation jacketing forms the outer mechanical and weather protection over insulated ductwork. Flat sheet or coil is cut and formed around rectangular ducts, round ducts, elbows and equipment casings with overlapped seams oriented to shed water. A factory-applied polyethylene moisture barrier separates the metal jacket from wet insulation and reduces galvanic contact. Smooth, stucco-embossed or corrugated finishes are available, and banding or sealed sheet-metal fasteners secure the cladding without crushing the insulation beneath.

Características clave

Lightweight aluminum protects soft insulation against tears, impact and routine maintenance contact.

Polyfilm backing separates the jacket from retained moisture and dissimilar metal surfaces.

Stucco embossing disguises minor handling marks and increases sheet stiffness.

Purpose-formed closures maintain coverage around elbows, access doors and irregular fittings.

Preocupaciones del producto del cliente

Protective cladding must keep water out without puncturing the vapor barrier or compressing the insulation it is intended to protect.

Maintenance activity tears exposed foil-faced insulation.Rigid aluminum cladding provides a sacrificial impact-resistant outer surface.
Rain enters upward-facing laps on an outdoor duct.Shingle-oriented overlaps and sealed top seams direct water away from the insulation.
Condensate trapped against bare aluminum causes corrosion staining.A factory-applied polyfilm moisture barrier isolates the underside of the jacket.
Tight bands compress insulation and create thermal bridges.Correctly spaced banding secures the jacket while preserving the designed insulation thickness.
