The air-to-air plate heat recovery unit combines a formed aluminum plate core, four duct connections and separate outdoor/supply and return/exhaust chambers inside one insulated galvanized-steel cabinet. Corrugated plates create alternating passages that transfer sensible heat across the metal surface, while internal folds, seals and gaskets minimize air leakage between the two paths. Removable access panels expose the filters, exchanger faces and condensate section for inspection. A sloped drain pan and optional bypass damper support wet operation, free cooling and cold-weather control without dismantling the ductwork.
