The one-piece formed angle spreads light-to-moderate trolley impact across both wall faces instead of allowing the panel edge to dent or split. Guards may be bonded to avoid exposed screw heads or mechanically fixed where replacement access is important, with sealed edges maintaining a simple wipeable surface.
