Introducción del producto

The gel-seal HEPA filter adds a continuous perimeter channel to its extruded-aluminum frame and fills it with non-flowing polyurethane or silicone gel. During installation, the terminal housing's matching knife edge penetrates the gel and creates a fluid barrier around the complete filter perimeter. The mini-pleat microglass pack is separately potted inside the frame, so media sealing and housing sealing remain distinct. Because the gel can conform around minor mating-edge irregularities, this design is widely used in bottom-loading and room-side replaceable cleanroom terminals.

Características clave

A continuous non-hardening gel trough surrounds all four sides of the filter frame.

The mating housing knife edge displaces gel locally to create a resilient fluid barrier.

Separate polyurethane pack potting protects filtration integrity independently of the external seal.

The room-side replaceable geometry reduces access requirements above sealed cleanroom ceilings.

Preocupaciones del producto del cliente

A cleanroom terminal seal must remain continuous even when the ceiling frame has small dimensional tolerances or the filter is replaced repeatedly.

Small irregularities in a rigid mating surface create bypass around a dry seal.Non-hardening gel conforms around the inserted knife edge and closes localized gaps.
Overtightened clamps distort thin aluminum filter frames. The fluid interface reaches sealing contact with controlled engagement rather than extreme compression.
Repeated room-side replacement tears or permanently crushes conventional foam gaskets.A stable gel channel can re-form around the knife edge after careful filter removal and installation.
Aggressive cleaning chemistry affects an unsuitable seal compound.Polyurethane, silicone or low-outgassing gel is selected to match the terminal environment.
