The FFU HEPA filter is the final air-cleaning element installed beneath the fan section of a fan filter unit. Fine glass-fiber media is formed into closely spaced mini-pleats and stabilized with hot-melt separators to provide a large filtration area within a shallow frame. Perimeter potting prevents bypass between the media pack and aluminum frame, while a compression gasket seals the filter against its supporting surface. Replacement size, efficiency class, pressure drop, gasket side and airflow direction must match the original FFU design.
