This analyzer routes a small representative compressed-air sample through a dedicated conditioning path before it reaches the moisture sensor. A pressure regulator, vertical flowmeter and transparent condensate-protection bowl help establish controlled inlet conditions and reveal an unsuitable wet sample before liquid reaches the measurement cell. Short stainless-steel and PTFE wetted paths reduce dead volume and ambient-moisture ingress, while the front display supports water-vapour trending in ppm(v) or dew-point units. Because line pressure affects the interpretation of dew point, the selected pressure basis, sample location and flow condition should be recorded with every result.

Trace-moisture results can be dominated by leaks, tubing diffusion, retained water, pressure changes and an unrepresentative sampling point, so the complete sample path must be treated as part of the measurement.

Ambient air entering through permeable tubing or an open fitting can make a dry sample appear wetter than the process.Use short low-diffusion PTFE or stainless tubing, leak-tight fittings and capped connections, then purge the complete path until the reading stabilizes.
A long or branched sample line can retain water and delay the response after moving between wet and dry points.Minimize dead volume, eliminate unnecessary tees and keep the analyzer close to the representative sampling location.
Pressure dew point and atmospheric dew point are not interchangeable values.Measure at the intended pressure condition or apply an appropriate pressure conversion, and always record the pressure basis with the result.
Entrained liquid water can overload or contaminate a trace-moisture sensing cell.Use the visible conditioning bowl as a protective stage, avoid sampling from the bottom of the pipe and stop the test if free liquid is observed.
